Safe walking at school

Making sure the children understand they need to be safe all the time is very important. We are lucky enough to have Constable cam come into school and roll out the walking safe programme. Children love as it means a ride in the police car and the siren on. Life does not get better for a 5/6 years old!

Sister Constance from Vietnam visited the school.

Special moment for the school to have Sister Constance in the school. She spoke so wonderfully to the whole school and shared her journey with them. She also shared with the children what it is like in Vietnam for children there and how we must feel blessed to live in New Zealand.

IT information evening for parents Week 5 Term 2 2015

Another great evening where our parents can come along and here form the teachers what is going on in regards rolling out the curriculum for their children.
Tonight was all about the changes we have noticed across the school with the use of IT.
Parents shared their thoughts and were able to ask questions using a PMI type approach.

Great feedback and so the the learning continues.

IT and merging this with our Religious Education programme.

A really great Professional development meeting last show casing what is happening across our schools in Auckland when it comes to integrating IT in RE.
Manys schools are using devices in a range of ways and the sharing of the learning was fantastic to see.
The use of devices to bring parents on board with the children's learning in RE is fantastic and is something that we hope to unpack more at St Dominic's.

Our seniors girls are trying to get a grant from the ANZ bank. They had to put together a movie and upload it.
Let's hope it wins.

Fill your and others BUCKETS

This week we are all going to 'fill each others buckets'
This is a twist to our normal 'put ups' and we are hoping for loads of 'bucket fillers!'
We also have one in the foyer for the parent to fill in for any of the staff.

We all need our buckets filled from time to time!
